7 Minor Changes That Would Make A Big Difference To WWE Elimination Chamber 2018

3. Asuka Vs. Sasha Banks

WWE has missed many tricks over the years, and rushing the booking of Asuka vs. Sasha Banks is yet another regrettable notch on the bedpost. The match took place the night after the Royal Rumble, following on from Asuka’s historic victory and Sasha’s impressive 54 minutes performance in the match itself. A singles bout between the two was inevitable, but did it really need to happen the night after the Rumble?

The short answer to that query is of course ‘no’. The Elimination Chamber card would have been better served by featuring the Asuka/Banks match, after a month of extra build towards an already highly-anticipated match up. Banks would have been more of a threat to defeat Asuka at this point than Jax too.

As it is, we get Asuka vs. Nia Jax. Nobody in their right mind believes that Jax has a chance, but WWE is convinced that the year is 1989 and the audience is pre-disposed to expecting big individuals to be forever a threat. Asuka will make Jax tap out in around 10 minutes, and Sasha will put in a valiant effort in the Chamber. It could have been so much better.
