7 Mistakes The Authority Has Made In Their First Year

6. Two Title Reigns For "Abeyance"

You might remember the word "Abeyance" was used all the time by WWE late last year when the WWE Title was vacated. That was because of the overbooked finishes for multiple Daniel Bryan/Randy Orton matches. Even though Bryan beat Orton clean at Night of Champions, he was stripped of the WWE Title, then they had a brutal ending to their Battleground rematch with Big Show knocking out both guys and Shawn Michaels ended Bryan's hopes in the Hell in a Cell match so Orton won the feud. When Daniel Bryan was WWE Champion this year and he had to forfeit the gold due to the injury it led to another title vacancy. That was a case of an injury forcing their hand as they put the WWE Title up for grabs at Money in the Bank, which John Cena won. It's just sad when you think that The Authority has been running WWE for the last year and there were two different times when "Abeyance" was the WWE Champion. It's hard to sell a show to fans as important when there isn't anybody carrying around the prestigious championship. Pick a champion. Have him carry around the WWE Title. No more stripping of champions or vacancies. That's definitely not best for business.
