While theres no shame at all in losing to Brock Lesnar, the way in which this loss went down will likely loom over Cenas head for the rest of his career. Mick Foley claimed the contest to be the most impressive, dominant WWE title win that hes ever seen, while fans were also all over Twitter to declare their shock and awe at the performance of Lesnar. Long story short, the Beast gave new meaning to the phrase wiping the floor with his opponent. 16 suplexes (supli?) and two F-5s prevented Cena from offering virtually any offense whatsoever. Moments after the bell had rang he was already in trouble, as Lesnar nearly scored what would have been a 30-second victory. Cena started the showdown on the back foot, and spent the following 16 minutes in pretty much the same situation. Of course, given the smoke-and-mirrors nature of professional wrestling, this defeat arguably wasnt as embarrassing as others. Cena was just following the script after all. If the same thing had gone down in an octagon, then youd probably be looking at the most embarrassing defeat in any sport and of any era. But it didnt. It happened in the squared circle, where squash matches arent necessarily a reflection of a wrestlers ability. Hence, there are a number of other defeats that can be deemed much more embarrassing for Cena.
