4. Jerry Lawler Is Showing His Age, But Don't Bless Him

Jerry Lawler was a sex-crazed dinosaur in 1998, so his appearance on RAW Talk following Fastlane was to be expected.

Freed from the regulative shackles of shows that are actually broadcast on television, his unseemly underbelly came to the forefront when he claimed that Nia Jax was "got hit by a car once and it took three surgeons to remove it." That was an eye-roller of a joke - literally, in co-host Renee Young's case. Sasha Banks responded with a sarcastic "Nice, King." It was if she couldn't recall which year she was in. That 50 year old Goldberg is once again wearing gold probably didn't help matters.

Worse was his subsequent insistence that "all women secretly despise one another." There's foreshadowing dissent between Banks and Bayley, and there's exposing his prehistoric thought process. Meanwhile, his employer has been in PR overdrive for about two years in an attempt to remove the stigma surrounding the misogyny that was the company's pre-Women's Revolution Era. That's probably why Lawler is no longer a fixture on flagship programming.

Lawler had shown his age. One of the first things to go are the eyes, so it's perhaps little wonder that, in the very same week, he retweeted a troll who tweeted him a picture of a 1993 edition of Pro Wrestling Illustrated emblazoned with the headline LAWLER INDICTED ON RAPE AND SODOMY CHARGES. Either that, or public figures will desperately recycle absolutely anything on Twitter with their name on it.

Mercifully for him, he has since deleted the tweet. He did something right this week, at least.
