2. Alas, Will Ospreay Is A Cat

Hiromu Takahashi, wrestling's foremost - well, only - ailurophile, elevated his lunatic legacy to new heights recently.

In possibly the weirdest method of teasing a future match in the history of any serious, mainstream concern, Takahashi has taken to reimagining Will Ospreay as a cat. Ospreay Instagrammed a picture of himself staring Takahashi down with the caption "Looks like this will be the start of a beautiful & violent story." In response, apropos of nothing, Takahashi, with a very creepy-in-this-context wink-face emoji asked a simple, rhetorical question: "Are you aware you are a cat?"

Ospreay has been called many a thing in his brief career. A glorified gymnast. A spot monkey. A thick-as-mince Essex Boy. The new face of junior heavyweight wrestling. A cat is new, but then so is Takahashi; nobody in wrestling before or since is as weird as this f*cker. He doubled down on the diatribe by photographing himself and a cat with the hashtag #YesYouAreACat and, even better, #Cat.

Ospreay has also been tarnished with the dreaded "doesn't know how to work" tag by traditionalist critics - but his "I'm Not A Cat" t-shirts have already sold out. He's made money purely through d*cking about Twitter, which is more than Jim Londos ever did.
