7 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (Sept 15)

1. Ryback Says Kurt Angle Is Set To Wrestle Again...

...without spinning some tall tale about how he was in the mix as his opponent! On his lamentable Conversation With The Big Guy podcast, Ryback recently had the following to say:

He’s a warrior. He likes to compete and he can’t do that right now or they’re not letting him do that or whatever. And I think he will, eventually, it will all be worth it when he gets to wrestle again, so I think he makes the most of it.

Perhaps he forgot that WWE planted the seeds all the way back in 2004, when Kurt Angle surveyed the Tough Enough season four contestants on an episode of SmackDown. After verbally burying the future Miz - "MTV sucks!" - Angle turned his attention towards the future Ryback. "It means nothing," Ryan Reeves responded when Angle put his physique over. "You're damn right," came Angle's reply. "I've destroyed guys twice as big as you so shut your your freakin' mouth too."

"This was the deal," Ryback surprisingly didn't say. "Notice the timing of it? We were approaching WrestleMania season or whatever. And I was hot, you know. You can hear the boos if you go back and watch the tape. That was the money match. You push people when they're hot. At least that's what you should do. They ended up giving the match to Shawn Michaels. Great. Another veteran getting a shot the younger guys deserve."
