7 Most Successful WWE Superstars To Ever Step Foot In Hell In A Cell

6. John Cena

John Cena also has a pair of victories in Hell in a Cell matches, though unlike Punk he only has two defeats, giving him an even 50:50 win/loss record. Although, you could make the claim that Punk actually deserves to be above Cena in this case, as one of the John€™s victories arrived in the aforementioned dark match after Raw. Cena successfully defended his WWE Title against Punk, Jack Swagger, Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler in a rarely-seen, oft-forgotten match that lasted a mere five minutes. His other win was rather more notable, though; last year at Hell in a Cell, he put on a solid match with Randy Orton with the number one contendership for the WWE Championship up for grabs. I personally remember this match being surprisingly enjoyable considering the fact that we€™d seen this pairing dozens of times in the past. Speaking of which, one such meeting came five years prior at Hell in a Cell. His other losing effort took place in 2011 in the previously mentioned match with CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio, meaning that both of his defeats saw him surrender ownership of the WWE Championship. Still, with fewer losses than CM Punk on his record, Cena pips his old foe to sixth spot.
