The Signature Pharmacy scandal which swept through WWE in 2007 was like a career-ending plague, specifically targeting performers tipped for future glory (it's almost as if those implicated felt they needed a leg-up to get ahead).

Amongst the budding names caught in the drug-raid drag-net were Mr. Kennedy - embarrassingly, just weeks after defending the company's Wellness record - and John Morrison, in the midst of the breakout single's push which had instigated MNM's dissolution.

Just a month prior to the names on the naughty list leaking, Morrison had claimed the ECW World Championship from CM Punk, a last-minute replacement for the absent Chris Benoit at Vengeance: Night of Champions. When it emerged that he too was embroiled, the belt was quickly switched back to Punk, and Morrison was slapped with a 30-day suspension.
