7 New WWE Directions After Hell In A Cell 2017

6. Randy Orton Moving On From Rusev

Feuding Randy Orton with Rusev has done nothing for either man. Orton still looks cold post-Wyatt and WWE Title loss to Jinder Mahal, and Rusev has been a disaster since moving to SmackDown. Surely the entire point of switching the Bulgarian from one brand to the other was so he'd have something to do? That hasn't panned out.

Following two pay-per-view defeats to Randy, Rusev is once again in limbo. Meanwhile, there's every chance Orton will move on to face Baron Corbin for the United States Title, or maybe WWE feel happy presenting him as a veteran who tangles with those on the under card.

Whatever creative do decide, it's important that HIAC puts a bow on the Orton vs. Rusev rivalry. There's nothing to be gained from another match on television or pay-per-view. Randy desperately needs a program like the one he had against Christian in 2011. Only then will he be able to enhance others on the card.
