7 New WWE Directions After Hell In A Cell 2017

5. Baron Corbin Regaining Some Momentum

WWE tried to push Baron Corbin before he was really ready. He's not the first to suffer from this; in the past, the writers have put guys like Vladimir Kozlov and Jack Swagger in lofty positions that only highlighted their weaknesses rather than strengths. The same mistake has been made with Corbin, though he has a definite upside.

Perhaps now Baron can settle with the United States Title. Again, WWE will book the obligatory rematch with AJ Styles that grants the beaten champ another opportunity. Once that's over with, the next move for Corbin is crucial. There are worse suggestions than putting him in a protracted series with Randy Orton, one that peaks in a 'No DQ' match.

Corbin must be pleased to have regained some momentum following his nightmare of a summer. Losing the MITB briefcase the way he did was embarrassing, and Baron looked like he had been ousted from the main event picture for good.

Winning a mid card title could be the best thing that ever happened to him.
