7 New WWE Directions After No Mercy 2016

1. Team Styles Vs. Team Cena For Survivor Series

It's logical to assume that both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live will showcase big traditional elimination matches at Survivor Series. Maybe WWE will want both brands to collide, even if it does seem a little early in the brand extension format to be doing that sort of thing.

Another option is to further the ongoing issues between John Cena and AJ Styles. Booking yet another straight one-on-one match featuring the pair might be a stretch, so perhaps the company will have each man head up a team against the other come Survivor Series. Team Cena vs. Team Styles has a nice ring to it.

A nefarious character such as Bray Wyatt, fresh off that victory over Randy Orton at No Mercy, may also want to poke his nose in. Not willing to be captained by either man, Wyatt could instead lead his own personal rampage at the November pay-per-view. By interfering, Bray would get the chaos he so often speaks of on television.

WWE have options open to them. They must tread carefully though, because Styles has shown he deserves continued credibility in the role of champion.
