7 New WWE Directions After No Mercy 2016
2. Bray Wyatt In The WWE Title Picture
Unlike many others on the SmackDown roster, Bray Wyatt has never held a World Title in WWE. Even though he's been part of the main roster for years now, Wyatt has barely even come close. Most of his feuds revolve around talking a good game, before inevitably losing and preparing opponents for a crack at the gold instead.
There's a refreshing feel coming out of No Mercy. Not only was Bray positioned in the main event against Randy Orton, he also came out on top too. Right now, that's a massive step in the right direction for Wyatt, beating someone the stature of Orton may give the heel a sense of entitlement.
At some point, surely Wyatt will be WWE Champion. Putting the belt on such a character would be truly interesting, not least because material possessions are something the villain has crowed about in the past. In WWE, that title is the ultimate prize.
Wyatt isn't the kind of character who should care about 'good guys' or 'bad guys', meaning he'd still target the heel AJ Styles if he has the title.
