Sid was a main event level performer in WCW for the last couple of years that the company existed. Prior to that, he had multiple runs in WWE, as well as WCW and even ECW at one point too. In other words, the guy got around! He always seemed to be brought back because it was hard to find 6'10" guys with an intimidating look like him. He wasn't a great worker and his promos were weird, but he always seemed to find work. Most fans know about the broken leg he suffered at the WCW Sin PPV in January 2001 that nearly ended his career. He actually wrestled a bit for a few years after that, but for the most part he was done. If he didn't get hurt then maybe WWE would have looked at him although he was in his early 40s at that point. Maybe if WCW was still around they would have used Sid when he got healthy simply because he was a big name. As we all know, WCW always loved the veteran wrestlers.
