7 Positives From WWE Royal Rumble 2015 That Shouldn't Be Overlooked

2. Seth Rollins Showed He Really Is A Main Event Level Performer

This was probably the biggest match in Seth Rollins' career at this point. He's main evented PPVs as well as won the Money in the Bank match, but this time he was in a triple threat match for the WWE Title with two legit top guys in Brock Lesnar and John Cena. Rollins absolutely delivered in that match. Lesnar won clean after 23 grueling minutes, but Rollins was the one that stole the show. He was all over the place working at an extremely fast pace and hitting some impressive moves along the way. Rollins did a Shawn Michaels-like elbow off the top rope that put Lesnar through the table. Some might say he's the HBK of this era already. Then there was the amazing Phoenix Splash off the top rope that nearly won him the match when Lesnar showed up to break up the pin on Cena and Lesnar ended up winning soon after. https://vine.co/v/OTOE7gAJred The three men went on to have a legitimate Match of the Year contender that shouldn't be forgotten in eleven months when we're thinking of the best matches of 2015. Most likely people will forget especially if Lesnar is out of WWE, which means his impact will be ignored. That's a shame because it was really great. Don't forget that Rollins still has the Money in the Bank briefcase in his possession too. It seems unlikely that he's going to try to cash it in before WrestleMania 31 since WWE is pushing forward with Lesnar vs. Reigns, but he still has a few more months to cash it in after WrestleMania too. Rollins was the Wrestler of the Year for myself and a lot of people that realized he's a talented wrestler that is performing at an extremely high level right now. He's a guy that can do it all. There are a lot of things that we can complain about the current state of WWE. However, the presence and performance of Rollins is something that we can easily enjoy because he's the future of WWE legitimately.
