7 Potential Next Steps For Brock Lesnar After UFC 200

2. Bona Fide Crossover Star

However, if Vince is feeling particularly stubborn, Brock might have to let go of any full-time UFC aspirations he may harbour. But that doesn’t mean he’d have to turn his back on the sport entirely.

Much like he has done in these summer months, Brock could well become the first true crossover star and work for both the UFC and WWE on a much more permanent basis.

The financial benefits mean that interest from the UFC is likely to be there, while the cross-promotional opportunities would seemingly be enough to persuade Vince to talk business. And for Brock, it’s another accolade to add to an ever-growing list.

And even if he were to be trounced by a Cain Velsaquez or a Fabricio Werdum later down the line, the win over Hunt would surely safeguard his second UFC stint from being dubbed an abject failure.

It seems extraordinary to even suggest this deal as a possibility, but then again Lesnar is very much an extraordinary case. It would be a ground-breaking move for both the sports entertainment and combat sports businesses but if anyone can handle that kind of pressure, it's Brock Lesnar.
