7 Problems Vince McMahon Won't Admit About WWE

7. It's An Unprofessional Company

While it would be unwise to take all of Punk's accusations at face value without also considering the WWE's side of the story, the former superstar is renowned for his straight-talking, no-bulls*** attitude. Assuming even the gist of his stories are true, the details of the company's treatment of one of their most popular talents are nothing short of shocking. Punk was given constant false promises, forced to work through a major staph infection, and ultimately fired on his wedding day. Additionally, the WWE has a notorious history of unprofessional behaviour. Sexual harassment lawsuits, bullying, tales of gross misconduct, and incidents such as the infamous Montreal Screwjob are all very much part of the promotion's decidedly chequered past. Defenders of the company will argue that "it's the wrestling business", and such underhanded, unsavoury behaviour is simply a necessary part of the industry. But, in the year 2015, a company treating its employees in such a way should surely be encouraged to clean up its act - and fast.
