7 Reasons John Cena Doesn’t Belong On Team SmackDown Live
6. Won't Somebody Think Of The Poor Movie Studios?
At the beginning of August, it was announced that John Cena had been cast in the upcoming Transformers: Bumblebee spin-off movie. Probably the best casting ever, given that John Cena looks like he might transform into a Mac truck and “roll out”.
It seems odd that the movie makers are willing to let Cena climb into the ring, jeopardising their star’s health. It is even more surprising that the studio’s insurance company would allow it to happen. Even if the movie had completed principle shooting, the necessity of reshoots could arise. It was one thing when there was talk that Cena would join the card as the guest referee of the match between Brock Lesnar and Jinder Mahal. It is another thing entirely to have Cena actively taking bumps.
Is it possible that this could be a sign of further shenanigans to come? Probably not, but it’s still a pretty good reason he shouldn’t be competing for team SmackDown.
