7 Reasons John Cena Doesn’t Belong On Team SmackDown Live
5. Cena’s Return Gets Lost In The Chaos
There’s no denying that things have been bonkers-go-nuts over the last few weeks at WWE. There’s also no denying that John Cena has “made his return to the WWE” so many times that it’s nearly lost all meaning. The result is that a dubiously anticipated return gets completely overshadowed by rarer and crazier things.
In just the last few weeks, wrestling fans have been treated to an unusual number of major news stories. Neville’s departure, Owens and Zayn being sent home from the European tour, Roman Reigns’ likely return at Survivor Series, Chris Jericho effectively defecting from WWE to New Japan, and news of Paige's seemingly never happening return. That is to say nothing of the continuing events surrounding outside talent like The Young Bucks and the firing of popular writer, Jimmy Jacobs.
These last few weeks have been a genuinely exciting time to be a wrestling fan. Whereas all of these events have raised interest, the return of John Cena to the world of wrestling after he hasn’t been gone long enough to miss him is likely to fall as flat as Damian after a visit from The Canadian Earthquake.
