7 Reasons Why John Cena Must Be Next WWE Champion

7. Cena Winning In His Hometown Of Boston Is A Feel Good Story

Cena's from the Boston area (West Newbury, Massachusetts to be specific), which is where Money in the Bank is taking place. It's a city that WWE has been to hundreds of times over the years that has held every major WWE event that you could imagine. It's fitting that the first eight man ladder match for the WWE Title will take place in a city as historic as Boston. Looking back at Cena's history in Boston, it's not like he has always been cheered in the city that was close to where he grew up. He gets booed there by some fans just like he does in other cities. However, Cena's likely going to be supported to this match just because the people in attendance will think it's cool to see their local hero in match where he as to climb a ladder to be the WWE Champion. If it was a one on one match maybe he'll get booed more, but ladder matches are exciting. He's going to be cheered more than you might think. It would be smart if WWE had Cena do a backstage promo before the match where he sucked up the city. Maybe mention local establishments or sports teams. Just do something to make the people love him. If he won the match in his hometown with his dad, brothers and friends at ringside it would be a special moment for Cena as well as a positive way to end Money in the Bank. Don't think WWE is looking past the idea of putting over their favorite son in his hometown.
