7 Reasons Why John Cena Must Be Next WWE Champion

6. A Babyface Win Makes A Lot of Sense

It's been a rough couple of months at the top of the card in WWE. Daniel Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 30, then he took some time off shortly after for his wedding and then his father passed away. He got back to action by beating Kane at Extreme Rules. Then he had neck surgery. There was no WWE Title match at the June 1 Payback PPV and now we're heading to Money in the Bank on Sunday with continued uncertainty about his health. When will he return? We don't know. The fans that are watching WWE today need some consistency at the top of the card. If a heel WWE Champ is crowned then it could hurt viewership. The audience may be sick of seeing another heel champion just because of how long Randy Orton's reign was. Do we really need to see the same old Triple H promos about a heel champion? That can get boring. There are eight guys in the match, but only three are babyfaces: Sheamus, Roman Reigns and John Cena. Sheamus is the US Champ that doesn't really have the momentum to win this match. Reigns may not be ready yet or may have something else to do in the future. Cena's the smartest choice of the three.
