4. WWE Wants Him To Beat Ric Flair's World Title Record
They may not openly say it, but it's pretty obvious that WWE wants John Cena to be the most decorated champion in the history of WWE. Why? Because he's only a WWE guy. The American wrestler with the most World Titles that is recognized by WWE is Ric Flair with 16 reigns. Whether that's the true number or not, that's the one that is used. Most of them happened in NWA/WCW, but that's the one that counts. If Cena wins the WWE Title at Money in the Bank then that gives him 15 total WWE World Title reigns since he's won 11 WWE Title and 3 World Titles. Putting him one spot right behind Flair would put him in truly elite company that would add to his legacy. Since Cena is 37 years old he's near the end of his career. He has maybe five years left as a full timer. It could be more or less, but that's a safe guess. If WWE wants him to get the most titles ever then winning it this weekend makes a lot of sense.
