7 Reasons Why John Cena Must Be Next WWE Champion

3. It's Better If Roman Reigns Wins His First WWE Title At WrestleMania 31

If you have paid close attention to WWE programming in the last couple of weeks then it's pretty obvious that they are trying to paint the picture that Roman Reigns is the favorite in this match. Reigns has been on fire of late. He's been victorious in nearly every match he's had in the last couple of months, he has made it clear that he wants to make things difficult for Triple H and Randy Orton. He also outsmarted Stephanie McMahon by using Vickie Guerrero to get a spot in the battle royal last week. Of course he went on to dominate the battle royal that landed him a spot in the WWE Title ladder match Money in the Bank this Sunday. They could put the WWE Title on him, but then what? A rising character winning a major title for the first time at a show that isn't considered major is a bit underwhelming. Perhaps they could do it and then maybe Seth Rollins wins the Money in the Bank briefcase, which leads to a cash in soon after, but that's too similar to what they did last year with Daniel Bryan and Orton. What needs to happen with Reigns the rest of the year is they have to keep him busy in other feuds. He can feud with Orton, then he can have a SummerSlam match with Triple H and a feud with Seth Rollins makes a lot of sense too. He can pursue the WWE Title early next year around the Royal Rumble. Keep him away from it now. With Reigns not ready to be WWE Champion, it only adds to the idea of Cena winning the gold again.
