Although both Punk and Owens' breakthrough feuds look to have been with John Cena, the biggest strength of both men is perhaps their ability to take a match-up with any fellow worker and transform it into a pulsating, bloodthirsty rivalry. Before Cena, Punk enjoyed a fantastic feud with Jeff Hardy - a wrestler many thought to be past his prime - playing off their respective attitudes towards drug abuse. Amazingly, despite being the "clean" character of the two, Punk still managed to come across as a devilish babyface, allowing Hardy to soak in the crowd's sympathy and support. Similarly, Owens has already demonstrated his ability to make the most of an elongated feud. He has waged war against Sami Zayn twice (once in ROH, a storyline of betrayal punctuated by a series of utterly chaotic matches), and even looks set to take on fellow indie legend Samoa Joe sometime in the future.
