7 Reasons Kevin Owens Is The New CM Punk

1. Owens Looks Set For A Gigantic Push

As dissatisfied as Punk was towards the end of his WWE career, even he would surely admit that he was made a bigger star than many could have imagined. The 'Summer of Punk' angle in 2011 was quickly dragged into the mire by the unneeded involvement of Triple H and (bafflingly) Kevin Nash, but it preceded the longest WWE Championship reign of the modern era. Now Owens looks set to be on the end of a similarly gigantic push. His win against Cena will certainly fade in importance over time, but the very fact that an NXT wrestler was brought in to defeat one of the biggest workers in history speaks volumes about how much belief the company have in him. In three or four years, Elimination Chamber might well be looked back upon as the start of an immensely impressive WWE career for Owens. He certainly has all the qualities needed.
