7 Reasons Monday's WWE RAW Might Be The Bottom Of The Barrel

5. Alicia Fox: Divas #1 Contender, Loser, Tantrum-Thrower

So last week, Alicia Fox upsets Divas Champion Paige in her home country of England and thus earns a title shot at Payback. So Monday night, she naturally loses a match to Santino sidekick Emma six days before Payback, so she looks like a huge threat to take Paige€™s title. Then she throws a massive tantrum at ringside, spraying soda and doing a mock Steve Austin drink salute, ringing the bell incessantly, and giving a ring crewmember a wedgie. No, seriously. This was all on Raw. When Paige beat AJ Lee for the Divas Championship seven weeks ago, it looked like they might be rebuilding the Divas division around Paige and trying to restore some respectability to it. They had her go out and win a few matches immediately (including one over Fox!) to show she was serious. The Total Divas crew was kept clear of the title (and still are). Paige gutted out a win against Tamina Snuka at Extreme Rules, showing her heart and giving fans a straight-up wrestling match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LQPT8KEHzo&list=PLF0CB8E7B4C77DB61&index=9 But now WWE has gone and backward-booked their way into a mess. While Alicia Fox is a much-improved in-ring performer, she has been little more than cannon fodder for the Total Divas crew in recent months. She already lost to Paige once. If you€™re going to have her challenge for the title, a fluke win and then an immediate loss doesn€™t do anything to build interest or credibility. All Fox is known for the last three weeks is throwing tantrums at ringside after her matches, win or lose. It€™s cringe-worthy and adds absolutely nothing to the program.
