7 Reasons Monday's WWE RAW Might Be The Bottom Of The Barrel

1. Bryan€™s Choice

Stephanie McMahon wants the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in her possession, and off Daniel Bryan€™s waist. We€™ve established that. Daniel Bryan had neck surgery about two weeks ago and is out of action indefinitely. But Bryan doesn€™t want to just give in and hand the title over to Stephanie, so instead, she threatens to fire his wife if he doesn€™t hand over the title at the PPV. Um, what? Yes, they are trying to buy another week for Bryan to heal and see if they can avoid having to strip him of the title. But this is beyond ridiculous. We just watched the evil boss have the general manager beaten up and fired a couple hours earlier, but we€™re left to believe that she can€™t strip him of the title? Fine, let€™s assume she wants to break his spirit. Put him in a title match immediately against Kane, and if he can€™t compete, he forfeits the title. (In that situation, they could have booked around Bryan€™s injuries and had him beat Kane with a bunch of objects and pin him without taking a single bump, giving him a title defense and negating the need to surrender the championship.) Instead we get this stretched-out storyline of Stephanie trying to force Bryan€™s hand and make him surrender the WHC. So what€™s he going to do €“ let his wife get fired or give up his dream? The angle is approaching hokey, and it makes you wonder where they will go next €“ not necessarily in a good way. One can see this leading to a Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon matchup with the fate of Bryan€™s title hanging in the balance. At least that would be unique.
