7 Reasons Why Roman Reigns Should Be Next WWE Champion

6. To Keep Him Busy During Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins

Given how Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns looked to be unanimously on the same page following Seth Rollins' defection, things look slightly more hazy at this moment in time. All of a sudden, Ambrose has his own entrance music, and has ditched the infamous attire The Shield donned over the past 18 months. He looks to be his own man once again - and he has Seth Rollins very much in his sights. Wrestling fans are an incredibly savvy bunch, and they will be quick to notice the quick change in Ambrose. Reigns is his own man, and the situation that many predicted six months ago has arisen - Reigns is a lone wolf. Initially the plans were (so we believe) for The Shield's dominant force to get a major babyface push - if that is still the plan, a win here would be a huge indicator of just how highly regarded he is backstage. At 29, Reigns still has plenty of time on his side. He'd be a ridiculously young champion given the age of the previous bunch - but there is no reason why he can't break through now, as opposed to later.
