7 Reasons Why The Undertaker Should Retire For Good

6. It's Too Late For The Dream Match With Sting

The one dream match that was out there for The Undertaker in the last decade was a matchup with Sting. Since Sting was similar to Undertaker in that he wore a black coat, wrestled in black gear and was very mysterious, it was always thought to be a natural match that would have made a lot of sense. If Sting signed with WWE at any point from 2001 to 2012, we likely would have seen The Undertaker vs. Sting at a WrestleMania. Sting didn't come to WWE, though. He stayed away from the company and worked for TNA until early this year when he started to talk to WWE. Finally, in November at Survivor Series he made his first on screen WWE appearance and we don't know when we'll see him again. During the summer, after Sting signed with WWE as part of their video game and also a toy deal, he was very open to the idea of wrestling The Undertaker. It's what he wanted. What we don't know is if The Undertaker wants it or if management even wants it. The rumors out there about Sting suggest he's probably going to wrestle Triple H at WrestleMania 31. It makes sense because Sting attacked Triple H at Survivor Series to cost Team Authority the match against Team Cena. Not only that, but Triple H was active for some of 2014 and likely will have no problem putting Sting over. If you did Sting vs. Undertaker, who wins and why would you want either of them to lose? Undertaker likely would have won, but it would have been dumb to have Sting debut only to lose his first match in the company. It just seems like the ship has sailed for that match. There was a chance that it might have happened years ago, but in 2015 it's not an option anymore. A 50 year old Undertaker against a 56 year old Sting? It could be bad. Real bad.
