3. Undertaker's Strange Semi-Turn
At SummerSlam, Undertaker was bafflingly made into a sort of quasi-heel. He tapped out to Lesnar's submission hold fair and square, luckily wasn't detected, low-blowed Brock to gain an advantage, and won in decidedly screwy fashion. The story of the match should have been far more straightforward: Taker's mission to avenge his devastating WrestleMania defeat. Instead it ended with Lesnar defiantly, bravely refusing to tap out while locked in the Deadman's triangle choke, a direct call-back to Austin passing out in the Sharpshooter at WrestleMania 13. Now both men are stuck in tweener limbo, an unnecessary muddying of refreshingly clear waters. This unclear dynamic raises the possibility of another screwy finish. The more tangled this feud becomes, the more it appears that Hell in a Cell won't be enough to reach a satisfying conclusion.
