7 Reasons For A New WWE Four Horsemen

What better way to honour the legendary Dusty Rhodes?

The timing is right for WWE to bring back stable with a familiar name: The Four Horsemen. The name is synonymous with one of the most famous groups in the history of wrestling, right up there with the New World Order and D-Generation X. What's interesting about the Four Horsemen is that they were only in WCW and once WWE bought the company in 2001, they never created a stable with the Horsemen name. Why not now? The closest stable in the history of WWE that was like the Four Horsemen was the Evolution foursome of Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista and original Horseman Ric Flair. Just like the Horsemen did at various points in their run, the Evolution group held all the titles at the same time to show how dominant they were. When WWE brought up The Shield in 2012, they were booked so strong as a group, but they were also presented in a way where they were equals. Plus, it was only three guys rather than four, so it's not the same thing as what the Horsemen were. The main Four Horsemen group of Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham and manager JJ Dillon were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012. Since Flair and Anderson are both involved with WWE, they could easily be used in the storyline. Guys like Tully, Barry and JJ could also be used just as a way to pass the torch for the new group. Here are seven reasons why WWE could bring back the Four Horsemen, including my picks for who I think would make a good Four Horsemen-like stable in WWE.
