7 Reasons Why WWE And UFC Are In Competition

6. UFC Has Built Up Fights In Similar Ways

When UFC has a PPV they usually do a great job in building it up by using video packages to tell the stories of the fighters. It was memorable when Brock Lesnar was training for his fights and they would show him in some cabin that was some place really remote where he would look like somebody completely out of this world because few people trained like him. Then they might show his opponent who is more traditional in a gym with about five coaches helping him with every technique as a way to try to beat Lesnar. Those videos, that are often 30 minute to hour long specials on Spike TV, do a great job in selling a fight. It's also something that WWE has perfected over the years. All WWE fans are aware of how amazing the video packages are that WWE does to set up matches. That goes back decades when they would air them on the weekend television shows before Raw was a regular thing. These videos are as well as any company in any sports related genre. It's smart for both UFC and WWE to do these kinds of videos to promote major fights and matches. Best for business as somebody might say.
