If you've ever read anything about marketing in television or how TV ratings work then you know that companies like WWE and UFC are always going after the male viewers aged 18-49 or sometimes more specifically 18-34. The reason being is that when you're an adult more you are more than likely going to spend your own money to watch shows that guys like to watch. WWE is a PG company and has been since 2008 so they market to kids as well, but that's not the main group they're going after. Those kids may get their parents to spend money. However, it's nothing like the money an adult male might be willing to spend. Fans that are WWE lifers are the ones that are going to buy the PPVs, go to the shows, wear the merchandise and even purchase WWE Network to relive their youth. Most WWE fans are adults because they're the ones that stay up until 11pm on a Monday night, not the 10 year old kid that has school the next day. The biggest fanbase for both WWE & UFC are the adult males. They're always going to be competing for viewers that way. To deny it would be foolish.
