7 Reasons Why WWE Should Make Eric Bischoff Raw GM Again
3. He Has Credibility (Unlike Some Other GMs)
Authority figures in wrestling need to have credibility, which is why Bischoff is one of the best authority figures ever. The point is also valid when thinking about people like Brad Maddox or AJ Lee. Both of them were the GM at Raw within the last few years, yet neither one made much of an impact on the show because they are just 20-somethings who were put there since WWE had nobody else in mind. With Lee, at least they chose her because she was the most pushed female performer in WWE. But why did they put Maddox there? Because they didn't know what else to do with a guy that had been in the company for years. They still don't know what to do with him, actually. The other potential people in charge have good reasons not to do it: Vince McMahon is too old, Triple H and Stephanie are boring as leaders, Paul Heyman is more valuable as the advocate of Brock Lesnar, William Regal seems like the perfect choice as NXT GM and Vickie Guerrero chose to leave the company to live a normal life. There really aren't that many good choices right now in terms of an authority figure in WWE. That's why WWE should call Bischoff.
