7 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Give Up On The Current WWE Product Completely
4. Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship Reign
It's rare nowadays to be treated to a true feel-good moment in WWE, but that's exactly what we got at WrestleMania 35 when Kofi Kingston finally won the WWE Championship after 11 years with the company.
Better yet, the followup has been fantastic, with Kingston being one of WWE's best booked world champions in many years. Aside from this past Monday on Raw when he passed out to Samoa Joe's signature submission hold in a six-man tag team match, he has not been formally pinned or submitted since March.
That's pretty impressive for a guy that is a regular on both Raw and SmackDown Live these days. His entertaining matches combined with his above-average mic skills have made him a recurring highlight on WWE TV every week for months.
He's successfully defended his title against the illustrious likes of Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler, and has shown no signs of slowing down any time soon. Regardless of what he's given creatively, he always makes the most of it and never ceases to bring fans to their feet whenever he enters an arena.
Who knows if he'll remain a main event star once he drops the strap, but let's just enjoy the ride for now.
