7 Reasons WWE Crown Jewel 2019 Is Going To Be A Disaster
6. A Tag Team Burial
An 18-man tag team turmoil sounds rollicking fun on paper, and in principle won't make a mockery of the division in the same way plonking the majority of its teams into a 50-but-actually-51 man stramash did at Super Showdown.
In principle. Unless this ends up going for about an hour, at least half of the tandems involved will be buried within about a minute. That's no great tragedy in the case of Hawkins & Ryder or the B-Team, but the majority of the other pairings in the match could actually benefit from the showcase, should WWE have any desire to actually push a legitimate doubles division.
Which they of course don't, in spite of action emanating from AEW. Who knows, this could be great. But on a show featuring Cain Velasquez, Tyson Fury and The Fiend, it'll almost certainly be a rushed clusterf*ck.
