4. Fury Or Failure?

Before we even get onto the long-term booking implications of Tyson Fury's foray into the squared-circle, and more immediate concerns over his ability to throw a worked punch, let's consider why this match exists in the first place.

Though collaterally - and theoretically - the Gypsy King's involvement will draw fresh eyes to WWE's product, that isn't his primary objective. Ultimately, Fury has been drafted in at the behest of FOX and ESPN, the two broadcasters using the Saudi Arabian junket as a platform to promote his upcoming rematch with Deontay Wilder.

Think about this: not only have WWE put two fingers up to their entire audience by continuing their association with the GSA, but the shows are now being used as glorified promotional spots to push something way more culturally relevant. We now know the price of both the company's dignity and prestige.

Can Fury even wrestle? Who knows! At the very least, this'll be short - but 'short' means an utter destruction for Braun - as per FOX and ESPN's wish - which again, makes WWE the chumps of this whole affair.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
