1. It's Better For Daniel Bryan When He Comes Back
A heel winning the WWE Title would be beneficial for Daniel Bryan, who will be back within a month or two as one of the hottest babyfaces in the company. Bryan has been one of the most popular guys in WWE for the past year, but he'll be even more beloved when he returns after his neck surgery. Why? Because he's a more sympathetic figure following his neck surgery. Bryan has a lengthy history with Randy Orton and he also feuded with Bray Wyatt earlier this year. He doesn't have much of a history with Alberto Del Rio or Cesaro (at least in WWE), so those would be fresh rivalries for him. There's also a possibility that Sheamus could win and turn heel, which would be another familiar rival for him. If WWE wants to put Bryan in a position to succeed right when he comes back possibly around SummerSlam then it makes the most sense to have a heel WWE Champion because then they have a ready made feud that fans would be really interested in. Bryan never lost the WWE Title in a match, so he can make the case that he deserves a title shot right away. It's the perfect way to set up a feud. There's going to be a question of whether or not WWE wants to push Bryan strong considering his injuries, but if they do then it makes the most sense that there's a heel champion for him to chase after because that's when he is at his absolute best.
