Yes, the takeover in the title is intentional. The week immediately following WrestleMania saw two of the most established tag teams in NXT arrive on the main roster. I'm talking of course about the Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) and the Realest Guys In The Room, Enzo and Big Cass.

Their arrival coincided with the announcement of a tag team tournament in order to establish new #1 contenders to New Day, who have held the straps for 243 days and counting. The two newest tag teams on the main roster find themselves in the final of that tournament, which takes place at Payback.

The state of tag team wrestling in WWE has improved exponentially over the last 12 months, and the ascension (hah) of these two teams to a position of prominence on the main roster bodes well for the continuation of this. At Payback, the tag team revival continues.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
