It's alarmingly telling when the company's strategy to build the main event of WrestleMania 32 is to not have their babyface challenger actually appear on TV so that he won't get booed. I can't even believe I just typed that. How does anyone think this is a good idea? Is the hope that the fans will get all the negative feelings out of their system before he comes back so can he return to a hero's welcome? Because if so, that isn't going to work. Roman Reigns as a babyface main eventer peaked at TLC, and it's not going to get any better as long as there's a segment of the audience that rejects everything involving him. Due to WWE's stubbornness in trying to get him over, the main event of 'Mania is likely going to be a dud and, once again, it isn't going to be Roman's fault. They also don't have the spectre of the Money in the Banks briefcase looming to save them. That being said, I'd rather they just go ahead and get it over with or else we'll be saddled with yet another year of WWE figuring out how to get him over. Without the albatross of Roman Reigns in the main event, Roadblock has the potential to end with a bout that won't be hijacked by the crowd and thus will allow the fans to become immersed in what WWE is selling rather than rejecting everything because Roman Reigns. There has been a report that he will be taking on Sheamus at the show, but it's neither been announced by WWE nor has there been anything to lead us to believe that will take place, but if it does he'll be in the midcard and not dragging down the main event with all the negative energy a Reigns match brings with it. I feel sorry for the dude being stuck in this position.
