7 Reasons WWE Should Treasure Asuka

Any wrestler needs a "look" to get to the upper echelon of their profession. From Hogan's yellow vest and moustache combo, to Austin's goatee and black trunks, all the way to the New Day's Saturday Morning Cartoon attire, all the best superstars have a unique aesthetic that defines their character.

Few people understand this as well as Asuka.

While the real life Kanako Urai is an undoubtedly beautiful woman, she has no problem altering her appearance to fit the character she portrays in the ring. Going all the way back to her killer clown days in Japan, Asuka has always maintained a striking look that informs the audience of her character, a fact best illustrated by her current role as one half of The Kabuki Warriors. The Kabuki Warriors are the best woman's tag-team in WWE not just because of their work-rate, but their overall aesthetic - their grungy, post-apocalyptic ring gear and intense make-up immediately identify them as a pair of ass-kickers, as opposed to a couple of singles wrestlers thrown together. Even before they've opened their mouths, they've captured the audience's attention with their arresting appearance.
