7 Reasons You Must Watch Starrcast II

4. JR & The King

Jim Ross Jerry Lawler
WWE.com

Time: Friday 24 May. 10am-11.30am (6pm-7.30pm UK)

What Is It: To millions of wrestling fans growing up during the hedonistic Attitude era, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler were part of the furniture. They were wrestling's greatest announce duo since Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan, and they're still good friends to this day. Now, the voices of a generation are joining forces against at Starrcast.

There will be "Puppies" references, "Government mules" and more. Bah gawd.

Cramming their run together into 90 minutes will be a challenge for JR and The King, but think of it this way: with such little time to work with, the pair will be forced to focus only on their biggest moments. That should (in theory) mean this'll be 90 mins of laughs, amazing anecdotes and chemistry.

Starrcast's official blurb for the show notes that Ross and Lawler don't do much together these days. This could then be every fan's final chance to see them work their magic as a double act.
