Chris Jericho likes to keep people guessing. After his 5-star match with Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12, Y2J teased a feud with Tetsuya Naito, attacking him at Korakuen Hall. However, Jericho then disappeared from New Japan and made appearances in WWE at both RAW 25 and Greatest Royal Rumble. Then on social media, he outright claimed his relationship with New Japan was over.

But like any old school wrestling carny, Jericho was working us, as he reemerged at New Japan's Wrestling Dontaku to once-again attack Naito - now the Intercontinental Champion. Now the match is set for the semi-main event of Dominion, where Jericho seeks to be a ten-time IC champ (well, sort of).

Jericho's character in New Japan is a markedly different from his current WWE persona. A foul-mouthed, vindictive psychopath, Y2J hopes to put on a heated, hate-filled, and possibly bloody match to complement the insanely athletic wrestling bouts that will surround it. Of course, he won't have to do much to get heat, since Tetsuya Naito is undoubtedly the most popular member of New Japan's roster right now.

Will Jericho win his 10th Intercontinental title? Find out on Saturday.
