7 Record Book Changes That Happened At WWE Royal Rumble 2016

Which Rumble records were set? Which records were threatened or are in danger?

The 2016 Royal Rumble could be termed a success in one simple way: It overcame the problems of recent years and actually ended without fans turning on the eventual winner. That might seem like a low bar to hurdle, but after the finish of the 2014 and 2015 Rumbles, anything would be an upgrade. Similarly, the pacing and action in this year€™s Rumble was much more entertaining than it had been the past couple years, making for a much more enjoyable hour of wrestling than before. There were no dead spots where things seemed to drag, and there were several points where entrances and eliminations flowed exceptionally well. The 29th Royal Rumble also featured some record-setting performances, along with other superstars who crept closer to certain records. While not a lot of Rumble records were broken Sunday (no one tossed 13 wrestlers from the ring to set a new single Rumble elimination record), several wrestlers could set new records in the coming years as a result of their performances in this year€™s event. Let€™s take a look at some of the records that were set or added to, and how some of those who are zeroing in on new records did with closing the gap.
