7 Signs WWE Is Headed In The Right Direction

7. Women Are Being Given Opportunities

What's been a long-standing issue with many wrestling fan is the treatment of the women, or Diva if you will, within WWE. Tired of seeing supermodels with little talent or passion, the fans were ready for a change. They were ready for a revolution. While the Diva's Revolution storyline petered out without so much as a whimper, it did introduce Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch to the main roster which makes it a success all on its own. Thankfully, it seems as if creative has finally come to their senses and have realised how to handle the talent they currently have access to. Not every women has to be a psycho backstabbing lunatic when they get upset. Indeed, they can have real emotions and real feelings leading to real rivalries the fans can get behind. We need to look no further than the recent Charlotte/Becky Lynch feud to see how simple and effective storytelling really can be. Set up a clear heel and a clear babyface, give them something to fight over and let them work. Aside the aforementioned Banks, Charlotte, and Lynch there's also Naomi, Paige, Natalya, Tamina, and the hopefully returning Nikki Bella, too. There's a deeper pool of talent in the Divas division than creative has had at their disposal in a loooong time. Here's hoping they can keep up the simplicity of the story and let the women get our attention with their in ring work and storytelling. So far, so good.
