7 Signs WWE Is Headed In The Right Direction

6. Rise Of The Stable

A key part to the success of the 'good old days' that we all hold so dear was that there were so many stables going around that it was rare for a wrestler to stay on his own for long. The great thing about grouping up wrestlers like this is that it gives the guys that may not bring much to the table when solo a chance to show off what they're best at. You're great in the ring but not on the stick? Let one of the other members do the talking for you! Back in the day we had D-Generation X, The Nation of Domination, The New Hart Foundation and so on and so on. Each group had their leaders and their guys riding the coattails. Today we have The Wyatt Family, The League of Nations, The Social Outcasts and the on again/off again stable The Family and we see the same dynamic and outcomes. The intent for the groups is to push them all up the card together, and while it hasn't gone exactly to plan yet at least it's getting these guys on television. All it takes for some guys is to be given a little chance. HHH needed to get more time on TV in order to get more comfortable with his character before taking the next step forward towards becoming The Game. The Rock had to break away from his Rocky Maivia character by joining The Nation of Domination and adopting his cocky heel shtick that made him The People's Champion. Maybe none of the guys in the WWE's current stables have the ability to break out like those guys did, but isn't it nice that they at least are being given a chance?
