7 Surprise WWE Royal Rumble Entrants To Wish For
1. Tye Dillinger
Look up 'determined babyface' in the dictionary and you'll find a picture of Tye Dillinger.
In 2016 I found myself getting sucked into every NXT match featuring the 'Perfect 10', passionately willing him to victory. Anyone who saw his Toronto TakeOver showdown with Bobby Roode knows what I'm talking about. While there are other candidates that would make awesome entrants into the Rumble from NXT, my heart keeps leading me back to Tye.
There's just something about this guy. And for me there is no better match in the entire WWE catalogue of stipulation slobber-knockers in which to throw a valiant underdog into, than the annual every-man-for-himself Royal Rumble. After all, isn't that the appeal of the Rumble? That we all for a split second believe that any man could win and book himself into the big time at WrestleMania? Dillinger would bring that bit of magic to this year's January superstar soiree.
And if I still haven't convinced you, then there's always the appeal of seeing him eliminate someone, then turning to the crowd for their inevitable '10' rating. Worth it.
