7 Things You Should Know About WWE Royal Rumble 1998

7. The PPV Poster Of Austin's Head Was Iconic

There wasn't a lot to speak of with the midcard, so it's important to mention that the PPV poster for the show was what a lot of people remember about it. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was on the brink of becoming the man in WWE at the time, so any kind of merchandise with him on it was considered awesome. Looking back on it, the poster for this show was one of the best that WWE has ever done and it's so simple too. They put the back of Austin's head and made it look like he had nails sticking out of it. You may look at it now thinking it's not that special, but trust me it really was special. Anything involving Austin in that era was considered cool, even the most simplistic PPV posters.
