7 Things We Learned From Paul Heyman On The Lost Episode Of The Steve Austin Show

6. He Writes His Own Promos

Heyman€™s promos have been a master class in oratory skills since he returned to the company alongside his friend and client Brock Lesnar. He always gets his point across in an entertaining manner, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats throughout. One important aspect to his promos that he mentioned in this interview is how he always tries to sell the audience on not only Brock, but on his opponent as well, pointing out how his SummerSlam promos served to put over both Lesnar and John Cena. This is a lost art that not a lot of performers utilize; instead preferring to bury the guy they€™re facing rather than make a win over them seem significant. Paul revealed that the words he delivers are entirely his own, saying that Vince gives him just enough rope to hang himself and he realizes that if at any time he fails to deliver then it€™s back to having the company script his promos for him. That€™s about the worst thing that could happen because Heyman promos are a highlight among shows that have fluctuated between average and abysmal.
