7 Things We Learned From Paul Heyman On The Lost Episode Of The Steve Austin Show

5. Performing Gives Him A High

Austin asks if performing gives Heyman the same kind of rush that it does the wrestlers. Stone Cold has often spoken about the incredible adrenaline boost he receives when performing, and credits it as the main reason he's hesitant to return to the ring, because he would have to go through the withdrawals all over again once he settled back into retirement. Paul says that the high he feels when performing is second only to the feeling he gets when his children tell him they love him. He says "I am exhilarated during the week just thinking about going out on Mondays and doing my thing right now. In terms of a professional high it's certainly...the greatest time in my career. And I get to share it with my best friend."
