7 Things We Learned From WWE Payback

1. Roman Reigns Is A Star In The Making

When The Shield first burst onto the scene, it seemed like Roman Reigns was the weak link in the group. Rollins and Ambrose were both accomplished Indy stars who had mic skills to carry the group and wrestling ability to excite the crowd, but Reigns was a product of the WWE developmental system and few fans knew what he was capable of. The last six months has seen Reigns rise up to become the perceived leader of the group. He broke Kane's record for eliminations in the Royal Rumble and he has been a driving force in The Shield's feud with Evolution. WWE looks to have chosen Reigns to be the next big breakout star, it's just up to him to live up to the expectations everyone has for him. The real test for Reigns will be seeing how he performs as a solo act. The best part about The Shield was that every member had something completely different to offer, but it looks like they won't have each other to lean on much longer. Once we see Reigns have his own feud with a top star, we will really know what this kid is made of. What did you think of WWE Payback? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
